As a Reiki Jane student you know and understand my obsession about making yourself the clearest Reiki channel you can be, using the various meditations and methods that you learn during my courses. We talk about protection and grounding when we start the day and keeping ourselves protected from negativity throughout the day.
But how do you ensure that your home is clear of negative energy?
Our home is our sanctuary where we expect to receive warmth, food, love, light and peace, a safe place to rest and recuperate. A home full of positive energy helps us to grow, heal and develop.
If our home is dirty, dusty, full of clutter, negative vibrations from TVs, electronic devices, negative people, disagreements, stale air, closed curtains and so on, this can bring about negative energy and affect our own state of wellbeing.
Early in the New Year we often have the need to clear our homes of unwanted items and give it a good ‘Spring’ clean! We are more motivated to clean and open the windows, wash curtains, clean furniture and so on and we feel so much better afterwards.
With Reiki you can (and should) cleanse your home more often to keep the vibrations on a higher level. It is simple to do and can be done on a regular basis but always after you have had some negativity in your home. It is a good idea to combine it with the housework!
How to cleanse your home with Reiki
Firstly open the curtains and windows (to let the negative energy out) and physically clean the room(s) that you are going to cleanse.
Attune to the Reiki energy, ask that your Reiki guides assist you with your cleansing process.
At Reiki First Degree:
Go to each corner of the room and visualise the Reiki energy coming from your hands and into the room, extending from floor to ceiling.
Intend that all the negative energy that has collected in that part of the room be removed, going out through the window and out into the Universe causing no harm to any living being.
Stand in the centre of the room and hold your arms out, visualise that the whole room is now clear of negativity and ask that it is filled with positive Reiki healing energy. You can also cleanse the outside of the house and garden.
Once the energy subsides thank your Reiki guides for their assistance and close the Reiki energy session down as usual.
As always, give thanks to the Reiki energy for making your life a lighter vibration and enjoy the difference!
